About Me

Aaniin Boozhoo, Hello & Greetings Friends

Alicia indizhinikaaz, Aundeck Omni Kaning, Mnidoo Mnising indoonjiba, indoonjibaa. Barrie indidaa. Mkwa indoodem.

My name is Alicia. My Anishnaabe roots are in Aundeck Omni Kaning on Manitoulin Island, although I was born and raised throughout the GTA. I am also an alumna of Georgian College's Indigenous Community and Social Development program and am currently taking Anishnaabemowin and Program Development part-time.

As the Indigenous Community Liaison Officer, I am here to support and guide you as you explore programs and pathways at Georgian. Whether you have questions about admissions, student life, or just about 'anything Georgian' - I'm happy to help.

I can also assist with the OCAS application process and help connect you with funding opportunities, including OSAP, scholarships/bursaries/awards, and band/community funding.

I enjoy meeting future students and offering personalized campus tours. In fact, I always encourage prospective students to book a tour before deciding where to begin their post-secondary journey ahead... because the vibes matter! 🙂

If you have any questions, would like to learn more about Indigenous Studies, explore Georgian's programs, or book a tour, please don't hesitate to reach out! 🙂
