Who We Are

Our Mission

The Indigenous Post-Secondary Education Network is a collective of Indigenous (First Nations, Métis, and Inuit) representatives from colleges, universities, polytechnics, and Indigenous learning institutes who work together to support Indigenous learners in navigating post-secondary education.

Through collaboration, community engagement, and the sharing of knowledge and lived experiences, we help students connect to opportunities, explore their options, and discover pathways that align with their goals. We are committed to providing accessible, accurate, and culturally grounded information so that Indigenous learners and their support systems can make informed decisions about their futures.

Our Vision

We envision a future where Indigenous learners see themselves in post-secondary education and feel supported, informed, and empowered to pursue pathways that reflect who they are, where they come from, and where they want to go.

As a collective, we work to ensure that Indigenous students, families, and communities have meaningful access to post-secondary opportunities through relationships built on trust, respect, and shared knowledge. We believe that when Indigenous voices guide the work, stronger pathways are created: ones that honour community, culture, and diverse journeys into and through education.

Our Pillars

  • We centre Indigenous voices, knowledge systems, and ways of being in all that we do. Our work is grounded in Indigenous worldviews and guided by community-defined priorities and honouring the diversity of Nations, identities, and lived experiences.

  • We are a collaborative network of recruiters and institutions working together to support Indigenous learners. We prioritize relationships, shared learning, and collective impact over competition.Description text goes here
